Logitech created remote-control devices, under the name Harmony, to control all electronic devices from one universal remote. Technology has created considerable advancements in the products we use every day. The one thing it has done is made us lazy. No more do we have to get off the sofa to change the channel on the television.  Turning on the radio requires just a click of a button. The only effort required to turn on most electronic devises today is to pick up a remote, aim and push a button.

A Logitech Harmony universal remote can take the place of as many as 15 individual remotes, depending on their models. But, don’t be daunted by the thought of an over-crowded, button-loaded, need-to-be-a-rocket-scientist-to-operate device. They are programmed by down-loading software from the Logitech web page and adding the appropriate devices to the remote. Upon completion of adding, the information is downloaded to the remote from your computer via USB cord. The Logitech web page will remember your settings in the event you add or change a device or need to replace the down loaded information.

The best way to keep track of your remote is to keep it in a designated place. Chain it in place if others in your household are in the habit of putting things in their pocket and walking away with it. As a last resort, put a tracking device on it to find it if it does ever get lost but make sure the remote itself is not necessary to activate the tracking device. You want to make sure you never lose your Logitech Harmony universal remote.
